Science Without Borders: New Nature Outlook Published

The recent issue of Nature Outlook, published on 18 October 2018, focuses on the specific challenges and opportunities of science and research in low- and middle-income countries. In various articles, a profound insight into the current status of scientific research in those countries with an emerging economy is given. The edition’s producing has been supported by Mars, Incorporated, as well as by the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings.

As part of the edition, Elizabeth Blackburn’s social commitment against climatic change is presented. Another article deals with Peter Agre’s scientific research on malaria and his fight against the disease in Central Africa. Both Nobel Laureates are long-standing participants of the Lindau Meetings.
