611 Young Scientists Invited to #LINO22
The Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings confirmed the selection of the young scientists and informed the 611 applicants worldwide about their invitation to the 71st Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting (Chemistry).
Due to the pandemic, many of the young scientists had to wait more than two years until they will finally enter the Lindau Inselhalle (after participating in the 70th Lindau Meeting online last year). But this moment is now within reach: From 26 June – 1 July, the participants will be able to meet each other and around 30 Nobel Laureates in person. The organisers of the meeting are working to enable as many scientists as possible to participate on site. The meeting will take place within the framework of the COVID-19 regulations applicable in June.
In its meeting, the Council also dealt with the effects of Russia's war against Ukraine and decided to suspend institutional cooperation with the partners in Russia and Belarus until further notice.
